“Graduation Recap!” 👩🏽‍🎓

Featured

Hello Everyone… It’s been awhile since I’ve updated you all but guess what?!

I Graduated! 👩🏽‍🎓🥳🥳👏🏽👏🏽 “Cues Confetti 🎉 “

It’s almost graduation season for the spring graduates so I thought I’d share my graduation recap with you guys! I graduated with my Master’s in Public Administration w/a concentration in Human Resources! I graduated from Belhaven University and I absolutely love my school! My professors were awesome and my program was the best! I learned so much and I truly enjoyed all my classes, professors and classmates! My advisor was the best as well! He checked on me every step of the way and I truly appreciate him for that! I’m very grateful for my support system and amazing family!!

December 2021 was very busy for me! I graduated the beginning of December and after graduation the following week was my birthday and I went to NYC and had a blast! (I’ll do a separate blog post on that later) Ok back to graduation, my parents gave me a graduation party and it was really nice.. My cousin who is also a chef catered my food and it was delicious! My sister did my graduation makeup and hair and I’m thankful she did because it came out really nice!

Day of graduation: It started off rainy but the rain cleared up that afternoon for our ceremony and I’m so thankful 🥲 because I didn’t want to get wet or have to deal with the rain.. Our ceremony was downtown and I’m glad because the parking was perfect and our ceremony was more intimate it was short and sweet!

Quick Testimony:

I had no intentions on going back to school it kind of just happened! I prayed about it and God granted me the opportunity to go ahead and do it! I never thought I would get my master’s because I was at a point in life where I was just over school but God opened a door for me! I got my Bachelor’s from (JSU) and I’m grateful God granted me the opportunity to do so! (Undergrad was rough I faced so many obstacles and delays along the way but I made it….

Fast Fwd to 2019: I got accepted into Belhaven! I didn’t really know what to expect honestly.. I was nervous and excited but very hopeful! I prayed hard and started taking my classes! I did have a few tedious courses along the way (I even cried in a few classes honestly) I was overwhelmed at times as well, I spent my weekends doing homework, I traveled and packed my laptop 💻 with me, I’ve done plenty of papers and work while on vacay.. I literally worked hard for my degree and it did indeed pay off! Blood, Sweat And Tears 😭 but I’m so thankful God allowed me to make it through and graduate! Keep your head up and reach for the stars! Don’t give up, or give in… Whatever your goals maybe, simply go for it!

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding.”
‭‭(Proverbs‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬) I live by this scripture..

Hello Everyone…..

It’s been awhile since I’ve chatted with you guys! Life has been pretty busy… I’ve been enjoying life and wrapping up my last year of graduate school “exhales…” I can’t even lie it hasn’t been an easy ride at all.. (Blood, Sweat and a whole lot of tears, literally)… Working full-time plus school full-time is pretty hectic.. My summer was really busy with school and I did get to do some traveling. I went to Jamaica and Disney this summer and I had a blast! Traveling while in school is another type of stress but, I managed to do it quite well… This fall I took a trip to Hot Springs for a friend’s bday and it was very fun and relaxing… Pro tip for traveling while in school try to do your assignments early if you can or just bring your laptop along with you like I do and wake up really early before everyone else and get to working.. I always make sure I bring my laptop with me just in case I don’t finish all my work beforehand..

I have some exciting news to share but I’ll be sharing more about that next year… Stay Tuned! I’m also finally about to start my YouTube Vlog: (LuxeLex) Be sure to subscribe to my channel.. I’ll be sharing travel, food, lifestyle content and more..

I’m so excited to be finishing school and I wanted to encourage someone who maybe reading this blog on today.. Don’t give up or give in.. It’s never too late to start over or pick up where you left off.. I never thought I would or could even consider going to Graduate school.. God made all this possible for me at the perfect time.. He also blessed me with a great job this year that I enjoy and I also recently got a raise! “Praise Break” ❤️🙏🏾💃🏽 God’s timing is perfect! Never let anyone put you in a box! Step out of your comfort zone and just do it! Stop letting people tell you what you can and can’t do! Go for it! Reach for the stars, the sky is the limit…

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength..” (Philippians 4:13, NLT) This passage of scripture let’s us know we can do whatever we put our minds to and Christ will lead and guide us.. Have a blessed day! ❤️🙏🏾

Last Year Of Graduate School

Hey guys! I pray you all had an amazing weekend! I start my last year of graduate school beginning tomorrow.. I’m excited and also nervous as well.. I had a successful year last year and I’m excited to see what this new year holds.. It’s kind of bittersweet for me as well, but I’m excited to begin my new journey.. God has been so good to me and I can’t wait to see where he takes me.. I graduate in the fall and I can’t wait to get my photo shoot together which I’ll share with you guys as well.. My younger sister graduates this Spring… I’m so excited for her as well.. My parents are so proud and can’t wait as well.. I am praying we get to actually walk for our graduation ceremony.. Praying COVID-19 is under control by that time… I have also started applying for careers in my field..

My major is Public Administration with a concentration in Human Resources.. I really would love to work for the government and nonprofit organization as well.. It’s so many career paths I could choose from.. I am still praying about which career path to choose from.. I am seeking God for wisdom and knowledge on that so please keep me in your thoughts and prayers..

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him….” (James 1:5)

If you are lost or need guidance I challenge you to pray and ask Christ to lead and guide you… I will be praying and fasting for the next three weeks.. I am taking a break from social media as well.. I need Christ to lead and guide me this year so I will be taking frequent social media breaks throughout the year..
