Summer break is over and school has started. I wanted to share with you guys some great tips on getting back into the swing of things… I recently went back to school to get my masters (MPA w/concentration in Human Resources) I plan on starting a business and also opening up a non-profit organization not sure in what yet but I’m working on it! I also plan to dabble in management and also a few other things, stay tuned! I’m so excited and also nervous at the same time.. It’s been a minute but time management is key into being successful! Here are a few tips below:
- Set a strict weekly schedule and stick to it.. Buy a planner and plan out everything i.e assignments, study time, dinner etc.

2. Do not procrastinate at all.. Turn in assignments early (make this a habit) Do not wait until the last minute to turn things in. This will make you feel rushed and not turn in your best work! Stay on top of things and schedule your assignments out. The way my schedule is setup I plan on getting all my work and papers done by Friday, that way I can have my weekends to enjoy and relax! If you’re traveling do your assignments ahead of time even if you can’t submit it yet, have your work typed up and saved on computer that way you’ll have it done already..

3. Study hard and pray hard! School is no joke whether it’s elementary, middle school, high school, undergrad or graduate school.. You need to study hard and also pray hard.. Keep friends around that you can call on to help you study and also pray! Encourage each other and you’ll do just fine.. Stay focused and motivated always..
4. Set up an area in your house or dorm to do your school work in. I made me a office area that way I can do all my work in.. I don’t like doing work from my bed because it makes me so sleepy lol (who else can relate?) Transform that extra space into a cozy office/work area where you can sit and do work in peace.. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune I’ll share some pics below of how I styled my office below:

5. Lastly, just do your very best and you’ll do just fine.. Relax and try not to stress so much! Don’t be afraid to ask your professor or peers for extra help.. Utilize all your school resources! Buy or rent ebooks from (Chegg.com) E-books are usually cheaper and it’ll help you save money.. Schedule library time if you need it and also go to your local coffee shop in order to get those creative juices flowing in order to write those research papers (Starbucks, yes please!)

6. The sky is the limit and you can do anything you put your mind to… Stay encouraged and have a successful school year! You can do it! Good luck! We got this!
